Crunchy Momma Treats

February always seems to be the month where people all around are hungry. Many of my friends and clients ask, "why am I so hungry in February?" While I'm not certain of the scientific reason, bears are hibernating right, it may have to do with post holiday and new cycle feelings. If you are looking to fill up or just craving a new snack, below are 2 of my favorite go to nibbles. Super easy to make, DELICIOUS treats. Instead of grabbing something naughty, stick to creating something at home and enjoying your labor. These are rich, so eat in moderation, of course.




4 cups oats (gluten free or, regular)

1 T cinnamon

1 cup sliced almond

1/2 cup cashews (or any nut you like) hand full pumpkin seeds *again any type hemp seed or chia is great too

1 cup coconut flakes

1/4 cup safflower oil

3/4 cup maple syrup (bit less is fine too)

pinch of salt



BAKE at 300, 30 min then MIX, 30 min MIX again and a final 30 min complete (total cook time close to 90min)

Cashew nut Milk!

soak 1/2 cup cashews over night in water with pinch salt

In AM strain

Use Vitamixer or Strong blender

Add: nuts 2 cups water (coconut water if you want it sweeter)

2 dates sprinkle cinnamon pinch salt tiny piece of vanilla bean (if you like)


Fridge and it last up to 3 days

You can always have them together for a VERY hearty breakfast. Sometimes I use the Cashew milk for a super strong smoothy in the morning too! YUM!
