My ideas and/or preconceptions of success have definitely evolved over time. As a child I thought success meant being famous. As I grew older success meant a nice job title and a larger paycheck. After graduating with a degree in interior design I was on the mission to find an amazing design job.. And I did! I was lucky enough to land a great position with the most talented designer in my hometown of beautiful Sarasota. On the surface it seemed perfect, but deep down I knew something was missing. Not because it wasn’t a great job but because it didn’t truly make me happy. I could draw floor plans, pick fabrics, and be on job sites all day but it just wasn’t enough. At this point, I began to open my mind to other opportunities, which was a scary proposition and not always met with support from those around me. It was hard for me to imagine leaving behind the comfort of a stable career for something unknown! At about the this time, I experienced Pure Barre. I think every PB owner has the same experience... Awestruck, invigorated and ready to rock n roll! That was me. I knew this is where I needed to be from the moment my first class ended. However, that is not to say that it was an easy step to take. I was taken out of my comfort zone, given a leading role, and finally in charge of my own destiny and it was empowering! I was ready to start the fire and watch it change other people’s life!
