Fitness Friday // Spinning + Resistance

I know that it isn't always the easiest to get yourself to spin class, and you may often find yourself fighting to spin for the entire class. However, once you have given yourself over to the part of you that lives up to your highest potential, you radiate magnificence! I call this finding your resistance.

In the spin room, my resistance battles are never at a set phase in the ride or for a set duration, but they are always present. Each time I get on that bike, no matter my frame of mind that day, the resistance surfaces--even when I’m teaching--and for that I’m grateful. I am reminded that my resistance is there and I can hear it and I can feel it and I can release it. It never overcomes me. There is no room for that in the spin room because it is far too powerful a place. When I can look my resistance in the face and gently send it on its way, I remember what it looks like and can more easily profile it when I am off my spin bike. It's all about the right mindset, the right attitude, and the focus on resistance and its end result! How do you build up your resistance?
