FitPro Obsession // Roll Recovery
Roll Recovery…this gadget makes my fascial smile and my knee tension ease. My local cycling studio, Pelo Fitness is where I discovered this lovely friend for my body. While it looks like a vice grip, it has just the right hug, squeeze, of love. My jaw can remain relaxed and my booty soft, which is rare when dealing with the IT band and quads.
You can deepen the pressure a bit by gently pressing into the layers of the body and just rinsing it through the legs. Since I have been practicing with it for over a year, I’m getting daring. Which means, my protocol is to just find an interesting spot on my body and roll away. Believe me I haven't always enjoyed attempting to let go in the quads, IT band and shin areas. The roll recovery is essential in my therapeutic box of "support my body" tools. While I live, and love, to practice yoga and Pilates, I can also be found hiking, spinning, running and playing in nature! Thanks to roll recovery I can keep on moving...
