High Protein Blood Sugar Balancing Smoothie!

This has always been my go to smoothie for myself as well as my clients. It includes whey, which is a quick absorbing protein that keeps you feeling satisfied and balances your blood sugar. The berries are full of antioxidants, carbs for energy and sweetness so you can avoid using sugar. A banana includes resistant starch, aiding in digestion and clearing the bowels. The coconut milk is a high healthy fat also used to stabilize blood sugar but also to boost the immune system and boost lean muscle mass. Additional options include adding 1 TB nut butter to boost the fat content and a handful of greens to increase antioxidants. In A blender Combine:

  • 1-2 Scoops Teras Whey Protein
  • 1 cup berries (I like to mix blueberries, strawberries and raspberries)
  • 1 banana
  • ½-1 cup unsweetened vanilla coconut milk from SoDelicious
  • 1TB nut butter (options)
  • Handful of Spinach or Kale
