How Bad Do You Want It?
Spring break is just weeks away and Memorial Day weekend, less than 12. Will you be beach body ready? Is this the year you will feel confident walking on the beach or splashing in the pool? Or will you once again, stay covered up? I know how hard it is: You work long hours.... You’re tired.... You’ve got kids, a job, a spouse and they want your time… It’s too cold... It’s raining.... It’s too hot to workout.... You tried before and didn’t get results… You can’t afford the gym… You’re too stressed to plan your food.... You love cookies, chips, pasta, etc.
How bad do you want it?
I often have to get my celebrity clients in shape for a movie or TV role with only 3-6 weeks notice. Of course you will say it’s easier for them, they have a trainer, chef, etc. While this may be true, they still have to do the work. They have to eat clean. One of my clients was my MY house at 6 AM this morning for her workout. She will go all day before getting on a plane at 10:30 tonight to go shoot her pilot. I promise she would have loved to sleep in. But, she showed up, snacks already in her purse, and she did the work. She wants it.
I have another client that we so often had to train at 4 AM that when we would workout at 6 AM (dark and cold) we would just laugh and say, “6 AM has nothing on 4 AM!” She wants it.
Several years ago, when Bradley Cooper was going to start training with me he called me the night before his first session to let me know he had torn his achilles tendon. It would be 4 weeks before he could workout. I convinced him otherwise and he showed up the next day on crutches and in a cast. He got in unbelievable shape before the cast came off! He wanted it.
What about you? How bad do you want it? More than the cookie? More than watching The Bachelor or The Jersey Shore? More than endlessly checking Facebook? How bad do you want it? Will you do the work? Will you be consistent? Will you plan your food ahead of time? Your best body is waiting. How bad do you want it?
