Living Fit: Nap Time!
2013 has proved to be a busy year as a newlywed and new business owner. Too add to all of the excitement, I am so thrilled to be expecting a little one in January. As pregnancy is something completely new to me, I am certainly learning a lot! While I've always made sure to stay healthy and take care of myself, I'm discovering a whole new way of doing this. Despite being exhausted, pregnancy has been pretty great. I have found how wonderful an afternoon nap can be and will try to continue with them post pregnancy. Having a few quite minutes each day to unwind your mind will truly give you an extra boost to continue your day with a new found energy.
Napping is said to be an extremely healthy way to reduce stress as well as preventing a burnout. Allowing your mind and body to rest will also improve any fitness goals and prevent injuries. It was difficult to learn how to nap, there is definitely an art to napping. Finding the 20 or so minutes to rest can be a huge challenge. The key is to make the time and learning to say "I'm going to take a break". Every women deserves to take time out of their busy schedule and hectic lives. Napping can only make you stronger in the end so go ahead and enjoy a nap today!
