Like so many of you out there, as much as I love to workout, I love to eat. And for me, Breakfast isn’t just the most important meal of the day, it’s my favorite meal of the day. Eggs, pancakes, oatmeal, French toast, fresh orange juice, hot coffee, there are just so many endless possibilities. But lets face it, 99% of the time, there’s just not enough time to sit down, let alone cook breakfast. I can’t tell you how many days I’m running out the door accompanied by a slice of bread with some peanut butter slapped on. So, after many mid-morning hunger pains, I decided something must be done and what have I re-discovered? The smoothie!!! To save time, I buy my fruit frozen and my green juice pre-made at the local juice bar.
Here’s my favorite shake:
¾-cup pineapple, mango, strawberry, banana blend ((pick your favorites!!))
1-scoop your choice protein powder
1-tablespoon flax seed meal
½-cup of green juice
Ice!! ((only if you’re using fresh fruit))
Toss it all in your blender and Enjoy!!
