New Year's Resolutions...It's An Everyday Thing
I often find that when the New Year rolls around, I'm so exhausted from the holiday celebrations that my resolutions seem thrown together last minute, and every year I would promise myself that the following year's resolutions would be much more planned and calculated. Instead of just casually dreaming about those resolutions about the resolutions, I've decided to take a different approach. I am implementing "new year's resolutions" not just at the new year, but every day, every week and every month. I am setting intentional goals and writing down specific objectives for my daily tasks, career ambitions, relational health and personal growth that keep me on track after the New Year luster has worn off a bit. So maybe at the drop of the ball I was not always 'on the ball' with my precise list of annual resolutions, but I've noticed that the daily grind goal setting proves to be much more lasting and beneficial for my success rate of actually executing those plans than throwing together some unrealistic standards and imposing them on myself for the short lived high of the New Year!
