I leave today for my sisters wedding. I had to shuffle around some runs including running today in frigid temps but it will be worth it. I plan on running easy for the days I am there. I need a mental break and a recharge to my system. I've dropped my mileage down and slowly noticed an increase in weight. Its heavier to carry but it doesn't seem to affect my speed. When I increase my mileage it literally comes off in no time flat. Running is just great for weight management. Sometimes we think we have to be rigid on our workout routines during the holidays to avoid weight gain. But taking it down a notch gives you time to relax and recharge. Don't be terrified of an extra pound or two. When you're ready, you can amp it up and melt away those pounds. Running also takes the guilt out of those little holiday indulgences. I thank God I do this sport. It allows me to indulge in one of my great passions...eating!
