Pounding It Out
It's Friday, and Southern California is once again confusing the hell out of us by serving up endless sunshine amidst what should be the core of winter. Despite this, we are drenching our Splits gear in the smell of coffee, infusing the high performance fibers with the smell of mochas and crumb cake rather than sunscreen, salt water and seagulls. We are posted up at our local haunt, Commissary coffee shop, rounding out the week and starting off our blogs as Firestarters for Splits59. We are so excited for the opportunity to converse with all of you about the many things we are immersed in on a day-to-day basis. We hope to connect, relate, solve, vent and discover together during each blog entry. Before any of that can occur, however, it would only make sense that we introduce ourselves.
We are the inventors and founders of the new workout trend, POUND-Rockout Workout. We spend our days managing our new business, training instructors across the US, implementing classes at gyms, refining our products and mastering our curriculum. If you wanna check out the shenanigans we are up to, use your browser to aim you in the direction of www.poundrockoutworkout.com.
More importantly, we are young women who happen to be drummers, athletes and observers of the human condition. We felt like it was time to shake up the fitness world (no, not shake weight) and dish out something completely original, enjoyable and effective. Achieving this, one step at a time, is our bliss and also, our job. Since POUND was born out of our love of music, we felt it appropriate to draw inspiration for our future blogs from (drum roll, please): titles of our favorite songs. This will range from the obvious topics of exercise and wellness, but will certainly cover topics of self-esteem, self-discovery and relationships, and might even skim other points you feel are significant in your lives. So, don't be a heart breaker by not stopping back in to contribute your voice and opinion. B
ye Bye Bye for now (OK, we'll stop...until next time).
Peace, Love and Ripstix,
Kirsten and Cristina
