Take It outside!

Yoga is peaceful enough in a studio, however, yoga on the beach gives internal peace a whole new meaning. Something about spreading your focus out into the vast body of water makes your worries seem insignificant as well as your existence. It's healthy to be reminded of this insignificance. We all get way too caught up in our day-to-day lives and lose the significance of the simple pleasures in life. The same is true for any workout you do. Running, cross-training, sports, or maybe a bootcamp workout... all of them take on new meaning when your horizons broaden. You may be thinking that's too cold to workout outside this time of year. Actually that cold air maybe just the thing you need. The rush of chill that flows into your lungs is a better jolt than a cup of coffee in the mornings. Cooler temps make you work a little harder to warm up and may even boost your calorie burn. But for me the best part is that fresh air, sunshine and a crisp fall breeze are all great reminders that you're alive! So take your workout outside year round. You may find you get more out of it than just exercise.
