[Guest Blogger Jennifer McCamish, owner of the Dancer's Shape in Austin, TX, gives us a peek inside her gym bag]
Fitness instructors and enthusiasts alike will know how important their gym bag is to their routine. It doesn't matter if you're heading to barre or cycling, swimming laps or sprinting hills, what you take to your workout is almost as essential as the workout itself.
Here are my gym bag staples:
1) FitBit - my fitbit makes me accountable throughout my day and helps motivate me on busy days when I am consumed with administrative work. I love how it tracks your entire health protocol - heart rate, BMI, sleep stats, calories burned etc.
2) Brooks tennis shoes - these running shoes are lightweight and supportive, especially for an ex-professional dancer who suffers with bunions. The toe box is spacious and they come in fun vibrant color schemes.
3) Knot Out - My Knot Out is a myofascial release tool that comes in different lengths, sizes and density. This small gadget helps me warm up and cool down before each workout, keeping my muscle recovery at an optimal level.
4) Green smoothie - I couldn't leave the house without my green smoothie. It is filled with nutrient rich fats, leafy super greens and keeps me satiated and full of energy throughout the morning.
