Do you have a morning routine? What are the steps?

Wake up, climb back into bed with my coffee and read or meditate or journal or all of the above. After I feed my dog and walk her and then either exercise or get on zoom with a yoga client or therapy patient. 

What is your favorite form of movement?

I love any form of movement OUTSIDE. Running on a trail or the beach. And then of course, dancing, in a big sweaty room where everyone else is dancing too. I am a fan of yoga, but I think we all know that by now. I do miss a packed sweaty yoga class, ah the good ol days.

What's your favorite song?

How does anyone answer this? For yoga, I can always start class with Angels Rest by East Forrest and it never disappoints. Immunity by Jon Hopkins grounds me. Singing out loud with Aretha is always a yes. 

Top 5 things you can’t live without:

The sun. The ocean. Music. Beautiful food. Quiet time. 

What brings you ultimate joy?

Being inspired by new ideas and perspectives when reading - like the perfectly crafted sentence that touches your heart and widens your mind at the same time.

What’s your favorite color?

Black and olive green. Oh and hot pink... And a deep emerald blue… and sometimes marigold…

Ayla, my dog’s name.

Calm. Surprisingly…
